Once upon a time (well 3 weeks ago) I got shoehorned into entering a local photography competition.

I entered 8 photographs in 6 out of 9 catagories, the show was today.

Out of 150 odd entries in total I achieved 3 first places, 3 second places and a third place.

Quite estactic about the results, I had hoped I might get one or two well placed shots didnt expect this!

In other news, buying my second L(aura) spec lense in the next few days. I chose the 17-40 f4L to replace the kit 18-55 lense of the 20D. I chose the 17-40 because of its EF fitting so on a fill frame film/digital camera you would have an ultra wide angle lense.

EDIT: It appears I have won the "heron cup" too for the most points in the photography class.
